Artist Profile

David Hutchison is a Scottish artist, filmmaker, and writer whose multidisciplinary practice explores technology, nature, landscape, myth, and identity. Working across painting, sculpture, and video, he moves fluidly between materials and forms to investigate the relationships between the human, the natural, and the technological. Where possible, Hutchison repurposes discarded materials, giving existing objects and materials new contexts and meanings while reflecting on ideas of transformation, memory, and the changing landscape of contemporary life.
