Dela Quarshie is a contemporary Ghanaian artist whose practice explores the intersections of emotional memory, cultural identity, and visual perception. His work reflects on how relationships are formed, how feelings are carried, and how both personal experience and external influences shape identity over time. Beginning in childhood with body and face painting, Quarshie developed an early sensitivity to the body as a site of expression, where colour and gesture became tools for translating emotion. He later earned a Higher National Diploma in Commercial Art Painting from Takoradi Technical University, alongside studies in Animation and Illustration, which continue to inform his technically grounded yet expressive approach. Combining traditional painting methods with contemporary visual language, his work has been exhibited in group shows across Ghana, Nigeria, and France.
