Elisa Rungger studied at the Karlsruhe State Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Prof. Franz Ackermann. In her work, the artist tries to create an encounter that refers to the here and now. Rungger mainly paints in oil sketches and studies she makes on paper, the large-format paintings on canvas. In her artistic work she deals with the human in the subtlety and intimacy of the everyday. In particular, herbpictures evoke ambivalent juxtapositions of public and anonymous, silence and noise, collective and individual.
