Ernestina Mansa Doku
Ghanaian visual artist
Ernestina Mansa Doku (b. 2001) is a Ghanaian visual artist living and working between Accra and Kumasi. A graduate of the Painting and Sculpture Department at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she is currently pursuing a master's degree, she is also a member of the blaxTARLINES collective and a recipient of the OmenaArt Foundation’s Artis Arundo scholarship (2024). Working across painting, sculpture, photography, animation, and video, Doku draws inspiration from the adaptability of natural forms to explore posthumanist perspectives and the interconnectedness of living systems. Her densely layered works, often informed by the principle of horror vacui, emerge through processes of transformation, fragmentation, and reorganization, inviting viewers to reconsider the relationships between humans, nature, and the material world.
