Artist Profile
Eva Helene Pade
Danish-born contemporary figurative painter
Eva Helene Pade (b. 1997, Odense, Denmark) is a Danish-born contemporary figurative painter living and working in Paris, France. A graduate of the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts, where she completed both her BFA and MFA, Pade creates layered, fluid oil paintings on cotton canvas that unfold through dreamlike imagery and expressive forms. Her practice explores female embodiment, mythology, and human relationships, navigating the complexities of identity, emotion, and the human condition. Drawing on the expressive traditions of artists such as Edvard Munch, James Ensor, and Otto Dix, she develops an evocative visual language in which figures and narratives move between the familiar and the surreal.
