Georgina Bedwell is an emerging abstract painter based in Sydney, recently graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Art from the National Art School, Australia’s leading independent fine art institution. Her work explores the power of sensation and the connection between the self and the natural world. Bedwell describes her practice as a form of “inward meditation,” where she transcends the physical landscape to enter a state of introspection. Through the deepening of natural colour palettes and the use of ink extraction techniques, she brings a quiet, unearthly presence to the forefront of her compositions.
