Ghala Vasylenko is a metamodernist artist currently based in France. Initially trained in economics and auditing, her analytical background shaped a sensitivity to error and imperfection—leading her to embrace “mistakes” as aesthetic and liberating elements within her artistic language. In 2019, she completed her studies in art and jewelry at the Odesa Academy of Jewelry Art, gaining a deep understanding of form, material, and classical canons, which later informed her reinterpretation of figuration and abstraction. Influenced by years of spiritual exploration and self-inquiry, Ghala has developed a distinctive visual vocabulary that merges structure with intuition. Since relocating to France in 2022, she has devoted herself fully to her practice, integrating her diverse knowledge into a cohesive artistic expression and a means of engaging with the world.
