Gregory Adjei Kumah
Ghanaian contemporary artist
Gregory Adjei Kumah, known artistically as Greg Art, is a Ghanaian visual artist born in Nima, Accra in 2001 and raised in the culturally rich community of Teshie. His passion for art emerged at the age of six, sketching vivid scenes in his schoolbooks and transforming ordinary lessons into storytelling through line and form. A graduate of La Presbyterian Senior High School, where he studied Visual Arts, Greg's work is deeply figurative, weaving together elements of modern expression and traditional African symbolism—most notably the sacred Adinkra symbols. His art serves as a bridge between past and present, evoking Ghana’s rich heritage while inviting viewers to connect with their own cultural narratives and creative identities.
