Grietje Drooglever (1982) creates detailed compositions that are made up of small drawings and paintings, photos, clippings, objects, letters, old personal papers, fragments of text or dried finds from nature. Each composition thus becomes a self-contained, but unfinished and ragged world. As a viewer, you have to find your way through this list of memories, whether fictitious or not.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Grietje works as a teacher at a primary school and writes short stories.
