Gulja Holland (b. in 1990 in Malta) in a visual artist specialising in figurative painting, who currently works and lives in London. She uses painting as a way of expressing her understanding of human psyche, our relationships with each other and with the natural world. Recurring themes in her work are self-identity, environmental destruction and existential anxiety. Her aesthetic is shaped by a vast array of artistic influences ranging from Edvard Munch to Andy Warhol.
