Henriette Hellstern was born in Aarhus, Denmark 1979. She grew up on the country side at the base of the Mols Mountains in Denmark. She was accepted to Funen Art Academy in 2006 and graduated her MFA in 2011 with a large series of expressionistic portraits called Sexualities. Now she lives and works in Copenhagen with her wife, three kids and a cat. Henriette Hellstern’s work was evolved from being very abstract to more and more figurative over time, but always with a very direct honest approach.
