Ihsan Saad Ihsan Tahir (b. 1995) is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, sculpture, and writing. His practice explores themes of class, cross-cultural exchange, displacement, and masculinity, often examining narratives of migration, personal histories, and the construction of factuality through cultural exchanges. Holding an MFA from both The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Goldsmiths University of London, Ihsan’s work merges unpolished and serene aesthetics by recontextualizing media symbols and texts into classic sculptural forms. Through this process, he challenges prevailing portrayals and cultural tropes, inviting viewers to reconsider accepted narratives in contemporary society.
