Inu Bere is a prominent Timorese painter, metal engraver, and woodcutter. His paintings incorporate the ancient weaving technique of tais, a significant symbol of Timor-Leste’s cultural identity. Bere currently heads the art department at Projeto Montanha, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities and community development for Timorese youth and their families.
