Artist Profile

Karin Langová is a visual artist based in Bratislava, Slovakia, working primarily in the medium of painting. Active in her practice for over a decade, her work moves between abstract and figurative expression, exploring the dynamic relationship between the two approaches. Rooted in personal memories and lived experiences, her paintings reflect an intimate and introspective visual language that balances emotion, narrative, and form. Through layered compositions and subtle shifts between representation and abstraction, Langová creates works that invite viewers into reflective and deeply personal spaces. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, where she studied in the mal+by studio, and further expanded her practice through a study internship at École supérieure d’art et de design Le Mans in France in 2018.
