Kato’one Koloamatangi, of Tongan descent, was born and raised in Tamaki Makaurau, with her formative years spent in Otautahi. Her artistic practice delves into themes of cultural identity and her place within society as a Tongan woman. A multidisciplinary artist, Kato’one works across various mediums, selecting materials based on the context of each project. Currently, she incorporates charcoal, stone, tapa cloth, and ink into her work.
