Artist Profile

Krešimira Gojanović (Osijek, Croatia) is a Croatian painter, illustrator, and visual artist whose practice explores the intersection of mythology, nature, and the inner landscape of human experience. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where she studied Graphic Arts, she later earned a master's degree in Visual Communication Design from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. Drawing on mythology, literature, mysticism, and ecofeminist thought, Gojanović creates richly symbolic works in which human, animal, and fantastical figures inhabit dreamlike spaces that blur the boundaries between reality and imagination. Working across painting, drawing, and illustration, she reinterprets ancient archetypes through a contemporary lens, examining themes of identity, transformation, vulnerability, and the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Her evocative compositions invite viewers into reflective narratives where personal introspection and collective memory converge.
