Artist Profile

Kurt Stimmeder (b. 1972 in Bad Leonfelden, Austria) lives and works in Linz. He works in psychological, gesture-based figuration; his oil paintings explore inner tension and the small, often overlooked moments in which the body reveals something internal. Alongside painting he produces original lithographs, printed in Prague. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Europe, Asia and the United States, including a solo exhibition in New York in 2025.
