Lacey Ferri
Craftsperson and Designer from USA
Lacey Ferri is a craftsperson based in upstate New York, specializing in the applied arts using traditional methods. A graduate of Houghton University, New York, with a BFA in studio arts concentrating on ceramics and furniture design, she spent a year and a half volunteering on building restoration projects across Ireland, Scotland, and France. This immersive experience fueled her interest in historical architectural interiors, fittings, and furniture, sparking a passion for surface ornamentation and design. Following four years in Oxford where she pursued further study and freelance commissions creating architectural drawings and prints for several colleges and the Bodleian Libraries, Ferri relocated to London in 2022 to study at The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, graduating in 2024. Today, her work centers on preserving craft traditions, researching and recovering historical patterns and designs, and utilizing natural, handmade, and repurposed materials, including handmade pigments, recycled wood, and plant-dyed papers.
