			Boston-based artist

Leeza Negelev is a Boston-based artist whose work spans painting, installation, and sound. Raised in Brooklyn and Boston by three generations of Soviets from Uzbekistan, her bicultural background shapes her interest in how observation influences experience. Her current practice explores the aesthetic potential of attention, blending formal analysis with sensory and dialogical processes. Leeza’s work has been exhibited both in the U.S. and internationally and recognized by curators including Sharon Butler, Jamaal Barber, and Erika B. Hess. She holds an MFA from the Welch School of Art and Design.
