Artist Profile
Lucia Mikušová
Slovak artist based in Czechia
Lucia Mikušová (b. 2001) is a Slovak artist and visual designer based in Czechia. With a background in graphic design, her interdisciplinary practice encompasses installation, sound art, video, performance, and experimental typography, operating at the intersection of graphic design, ecological philosophy, and posthumanist thought. She explores human–nature relationships through immersive installations that translate plant biodata and field recordings into spatial sound, light, and moving image. Drawing on acoustic ecology, experimental ambient music, and speculative solarpunk imaginaries, she creates environments that invite audiences to encounter more-than-human agencies and envision forms of coexistence rooted in care. Her intuitive, research-driven process unfolds through layers of sonic and visual interventions, transforming biological data into sensorial experiences. Central to her practice are questions of ecology, materiality, human–nature relations, and the influence of socio-cultural popular references.
