Lucy Ramsay is a contemporary mixed-media artist originally from Ngunnawal country (Canberra) and currently living and practicing in Narrm/Melbourne. A Bachelor of Fine Art graduate from RMIT, she majored in printmaking with a particular interest in etching and textiles. In 2022, Ramsay participated in an exchange program at Glasgow School of Art, focusing on lithography and drawing inspiration from Scottish youth subcultures and local pubs, elements that have since influenced her work. She has exhibited in solo and group shows both locally and internationally. In her Honours year, Ramsay explores notions of Australian identity and drinking cultures through a diverse range of mediums, including printmaking, large-scale drawings, rug making, ceramics, and installation. Her artistic practice is further informed by her interests in music, travelling, and literature. Alongside her creative work, she also supports other artists and works in the cultural heritage sector.
