Lydiana Cosgrave is an artist of Tokelauan and Irish heritage based in Tamaki Makaurau. Growing up in Papua New Guinea, she was immersed in strong cultural influences. Moving back to Aotearoa for high school brought a cultural and social shock that triggered an identity struggle, but also fueled her interest in art and photography. Through creativity, she discovered a sense of self and joy. Over the years, her passion for Pasifika arts has deepened as she cultivated a greater appreciation and curiosity for her Tokelauan language and culture.
