Maëlys Ediaho, born in the Parisian suburbs and of Ivorian descent, is a visual artist whose work explores themes of identity and cultural representation. After cultivating a deep interest in the arts, she pursued a degree in Applied Art at Autograf in Paris, followed by a Bachelor’s in Plastic Arts in 2017, where she began her research into the plastics of identity. Alongside her artistic practice, Maëlys works as a curator, organizing intimate neighborhood exhibitions at her university and showcasing her own drawings. In 2019, she returned to Ivory Coast, shifting her focus toward exploring the vital role of identity in art and society, using her creative voice to engage with heritage and self-representation.
