Artist Profile

Maria Magdalena Malenta is a Polish abstract artist from Warsaw who has been living and working in Sikkim, India, since 2018. Her practice explores the intersection of neuroscience and art, with particular interest in the subconscious and its influence on creativity and visual expression. Working through abstract monoprints, Malenta translates intuitive and often imperceptible mental processes into layered visual compositions. Her works invite viewers to consider the relationship between perception, emotion, memory, and artistic creation, opening a space for reflection on the complex ways the mind shapes what we see and create.
