Artist Profile

Marie Boková is an artist studying Ceramics and Porcelain at UMPRUM in Prague. Her practice explores the relationship between human histories and the natural world through figurative ceramic sculpture, relief, and material-based processes. She is interested in how memory is preserved, transformed, and transmitted through living organisms, materials, and landscapes, approaching it as a dynamic process rather than a fixed record. Combining ceramics with wood, wax, and organic matter, her work draws on biological processes as both practical techniques and conceptual frameworks. Through sculpture and installation, Boková investigates how materials can embody lived experience and act as carriers of memory.
