Maslah Abdi Dahir is a Somali visual artist with over 16 years of experience in drawing, painting, and creative education, known for his powerful portraiture, social commentary, and cultural storytelling. A graduate of Hayaan Secondary School and a participant in professional courses at the GoDown Art Centre, he has developed a distinct artistic voice grounded in both practice and continuous learning. Based in Mogadishu, he founded Maslah Art Studio, where he mentors and trains hundreds of young artists through structured art programs that nurture technical skill, creative thinking, and confidence. With a strong media presence and participation in international exhibitions, Dahir is dedicated to using art as a tool for social change, youth empowerment, and national pride, actively shaping the future of Somalia’s contemporary art scene.
