Born in Manila, Philippines in 1986, Manalo is a visual artist who focuses on photography, photo-manipulation and installations. His work is inspired by the imagined memories of nostalgic and dream-like environments; his works documents their decline into post-apocalyptic, nightmarish creations. MVM also co-founded an art zine called Magazine 43 which is a print-on-demand magazine that promotes emerging and established contemporary artists to the masses. He currently lives in Taichung, Taiwan.
