In 2008, Mikita began a course in Architecture at ENSAPL (National School of Architecture and Landscape in Lille). This let her refine her sensitivity and her critical sense. She notably practices drawing, photography, video and painting. Her passion for the notions of space, volume, framing, light and balance of forms plunges her into deeper artistic questions, going beyond the rationality of the architectural context. Attracted by the effervescence of contemporary African art over the past 10 years, she decided to settle in Dakar, the “flamboyant” capital of West Africa.
