Artist Profile

Minyu Zhu is a London-based interdisciplinary artist working across textile sculpture, installation, and mixed media. Using hand knitting, textiles, steel, and experimental processes, she explores the relationships between body, material, and space. Her sculptural forms draw on anatomy, architecture, and living systems, balancing fragility with resilience. Through slow, repetitive construction and material experimentation, Zhu creates porous structures in which light, shadow, and space become integral to the work. Her practice considers transformation as an ongoing process, allowing materials and meanings to remain open and continually evolving.
