Artist Profile

Miro King
Germany-born London-based painter
Miro King (b. 1995, Germany) is a London-based painter whose work blends satire and symbolism to explore themes of identity, consumerism, and digital culture. A graduate of UAL Wimbledon College of Arts (BA Fine Art Painting, 2019) and the Royal College of Art (MA Painting, 2021), King was awarded the Clyde & Co. Art Award in 2019. His distinctive technique—layering and scratching into wet oil paint—brings to life masked figures inspired by pop culture, fairy tales, and emojis, critiquing modern obsessions with vanity and escapism. His work has been exhibited in London and is held in collections including Saatchi Art.
