Muthoni Mwangi is a Nairobi-based visual artist whose intuitive collage practice explores womanhood, mental health, and human connection. Beginning her artistic journey during the COVID-19 pandemic after working in law, she experimented with various mediums before finding freedom and fulfillment in collage. Working from her studio at Kobo Trust, she creates layered compositions using magazine cutouts, fabric, and personal imagery, guided by intuition and spirituality. Her works center women and reflect personal experiences that speak to shared emotional truths. Mwangi has participated in group exhibitions including Shifting Tides at Kobo Trust and Unbound at Village Market in Nairobi.
