Nada Baraka is Visual Artist, born in Cairo, 1990. Baraka graduated with a bachelor’s degree from The American University in Cairo, in both Visual Arts and Mass communication, 2012. She has then perused her passion as an artist and graduated with a Masters degree in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London, 2014. Nada has had her first solo exhibition titled ‘FRACTALS’ at Mashrabeya Gallery, Cairo, 2015. Baraka has also participated in several group exhibitions around the world such as Cairo, Paris, Portugal, London and New York. Baraka’s work is focused on painting abstract figurations of the body, as her work explores and brings together issues such as gender, identity and aesthetics and the various meanings they can assume.
