Natalie Tyler is a textile artist. She was trained as a print textile designer at CSM during the 2000s and designed commercially for the fashion print sector for over 10 years and was a visiting lecturer to Fashion, Textiles and Jewellery courses. After having children she wanted a change and like everyone in lockdown wanted to try something new. Natalie discovered embroidery and have been addicted since. Embroidery helps her to explore and experiment with pattern, imagery and texture. A love of still life abstract expressionism and the use of colour and decoration inspires her to replicate this style through stitch.
