Natnael Ashebir (b. 1995, Ethiopia) is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, and photography. His practice critically engages with themes of history, identity, memory, and belonging, investigating how personal and collective experiences shape the construction of self and place. Through layered visual narratives, he bridges intimate reflection with broader sociocultural inquiry, creating works that resonate beyond their immediate context. Natnael holds a BFA from the Alle School of Fine Art and Design (2021), a diploma from Entoto Polytechnic College (2016), and a certificate from Abyssinia Fine Art School (2013). In 2022, he was awarded second prize at the Emerging Painting Invitational (EPI) Prize. Based in Addis Ababa, he continues to expand his multidisciplinary approach, cultivating a dialogue between tradition and contemporary expression.
