Independent Afro-Brazilian visual artist
Òkun is an independent Afro-Brazilian visual artist based in Goiânia - Goiás (Midwest), Brazil. Born in 2000, currently Undergraduate in Visual Arts bachelor's degree by the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), member of the collective National TROVOA, a movement of non-white curators, artists and art educators in Brazil, she also is a researcher at the Nucleus of Autobiographical Artistic Practices (NuPAA). Her artworks are crossing between paint, illustration and digital collage with themes of spirituality, memory, crossroads and belonging.
