Artist Profile

Oluwatobiloba Fasalejo
Nigerian visual artist
Oluwatobiloba, born in 2000 in Ondo State, Nigeria, is a visual artist whose work pulses with the rhythms of his heritage and the urgency of contemporary life. A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, where he studied Fine Art Education, his practice weaves traditional African symbolism with modern narratives, using acrylics as a medium to tell stories of human resilience and transformation. His paintings journey through the cycles of life—from birth’s raw innocence to death’s quiet complexity—while probing the psychological and political tensions that shape our inner and outer worlds. With a palette that echoes the vibrancy of his roots, Oluwatobiloba invites viewers into layered scenes that are both deeply personal and universally resonant, asking us to feel, question, and remember.
