Pema Gyeltshen, born in Tsirang in 1996, is a traditional artist who seamlessly blends classical techniques with contemporary approaches. A 2018 graduate in traditional art (Lhadri) from the National Institute for Zorig Chusum, where he received six years of training, Gyeltshen currently works for a private company, creating art that bridges traditional and modern styles. He frequently collaborates with and volunteers at VAST Bhutan, where he learns from fellow artists and integrates contemporary techniques into his traditional practice. Inspired by the world around him and driven by a passion for paints and colors, Gyeltshen strives to create meaningful and thought-provoking artworks that reflect both the joys and challenges of life.
