Qian Yuchen is a contemporary painter and PhD student whose practice explores the relationships between nature, architecture, memory, and human experience. Through expressive brushwork, layered textures, and vivid or restrained colour palettes, he transforms everyday objects, interiors, plants, and landscapes into imagined psychological spaces. Moving between observation and abstraction, his paintings examine how familiar places and ordinary experiences hold emotional traces, reflecting on the interplay between memory, space, and personal perception.
