Rahimat Onize Shaibu is a Birmingham-based fine-art photographer whose work explores identity, womanhood, heritage, and the emotional depth of Black storytelling. Beginning her creative journey in Nigeria in 2018, she has developed a distinctive visual language that blends symbolic styling, handcrafted elements, and expressive portraiture. Drawing inspiration from Nigerian traditions, generational stories, and the women in her life, Rahimat uses fabric, hair art, flowers, and natural elements to examine resilience, spirituality, memory, and transformation. Exhibited internationally across the UK, Nigeria, the US, and Europe, and featured in publications such as Amateur Photographer Magazine, Vanguard, and Channels TV, Rahimat creates work that uplifts, connects, and reflects the beauty and truth of cultural identity.
