Artist Profile

Rania Hisham is a Malaysian artist based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia, whose multidisciplinary practice explores archives, memory, and material processes through contemporary art. Working across a range of media, she investigates how personal and collective histories can be reinterpreted, preserved, and transformed through artistic making. Her research-driven approach engages with archival materials as both subject and method, creating works that reflect on identity, cultural memory, and the evolving relationship between past and present. Hisham completed a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) (Painting) at RMIT University in 2025 and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) (Honours), following Foundation Studies in Art, Design and Architecture at RMIT in 2022.
