Reem Aljeally
Sudanese visual artist
Reem Aljeally (Sudanese, b. 1997) is a visual artist and curator whose practice rooted in her background in architecture spans painting, installation, and printmaking with a focus on space, memory, movement, and self-image. Graduating from the University of Khartoum in 2018 and later training at the Khartoum Arts Training Centre, she is known for contemplative portrayals of young women accompanied by symbolic motifs such as plants and cats. Aljeally has presented solo exhibitions in Sudan and Egypt and exhibited internationally. In addition to her artistic practice, she is the Founder of The Muse multi studios in Khartoum and the Founder and Director of The Sudan Art Archive, playing a significant role in supporting artists and preserving five decades of Sudanese visual culture.
