Roopini Venkatasubramanian is an artist from Chennai, India, whose multifaceted practice encompasses ceramics, stained glass, and miniature painting. Holding an MPhil in Theoretical Physics with research experience in quantum information theory, Venkatasubramanian is also a dedicated spiritual seeker and trained classical yoga teacher. This unique background informs her artistic exploration of the innate sacredness of creation, bridging the realms of science, art, and spirituality. Guided by her spiritual master, Shirdi Sai Baba, whom she credits with her career transition and inner transformation, Venkatasubramanian pursued an MA in Traditional Arts at The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts in London. Inspired by the traditions of Bhakti and Namasmaran, her artistic journey emphasizes repeated practice, detachment, and constant remembrance of the Divine, allowing her to work as an instrument of creation through clay, glass, and miniature details.
