Sangita Rai, born in Sarpang, discovered her passion for art at a young age, nurtured by her mother’s inspiring creations and fostered through school art competitions. In 2016, driven by a desire to immerse herself in the art world, she joined VAST Bhutan, where she has since flourished under the guidance of pioneering Bhutanese artists. Confident in her use of watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels, and digital art, Rai’s canvases primarily explore themes of love, beauty, inner power, and dreams, visualizing the unseen and finding extraordinary subjects in ordinary things. She finds immense pride and joy in being recognized as an artist and appreciated for pursuing her passion.
