Sarah Louise MacPhail (b. 1991, Scotland) is a disabled artist and printmaker based in West Lothian whose work delves into the complex relationship between humanity and the natural world, specifically focusing on the impact we have on our environment and the loss of our native wildlife. Living with an autoimmune condition, MacPhail employs intaglio print methods to meticulously document the often-unseen deaths of local wildlife, uncovering the unnatural causes behind their demise. Through her powerful prints, ranging in scale, she crafts a visual record of these vanishing creatures, aiming to highlight the crucial importance of conservation. She lives with her partner and two cats.
