Barbadian native Shain Clarke (b. 1985), professionally known as Rudy, is a self-taught visual artist. Rudy, born in the 90’s has been heavily influenced by pop culture comic strips, graffiti and advertisements. His work explores the juxtaposition of these elements. Rudy develops his concepts by examining the possibilities of finding new within the old and using nostalgia as a form of time travel in hopes of connecting viewers to forgotten memories and emotions.
