Shanzey Mir is a Lahore based Visual artist. She completed her Bachelors in Fine Arts from National College of Arts in 2011, graduated with a degree in Painting. Her work has been exhibited in Alhamra Arts council, Lahore, Rohtas Gallery, Islamabad, US Embassy and Spanish Embassy, Islamabad. Karachi School of Art, VM Art Gallery, Commune Artist Colony, Karachi and Taseer Art Gallery, Lahore and MC Gallery, New York. Mir went on to pursue as a Concept artist and Illustrator and later on as a textile designer. Ever since Mir was a student she tried to push the boundaries through constant experimentation with the mediums and techniques, such as oils, pigments, resin, acrylic, fabric and embroidery. Mir is always exploring a new language that requires a constant process of digging away and rediscovering, tasting death and resurrecting.
