Artist Profile

Solomon Ruth is a Nigerian visual artist based in Abraka, Delta State, whose practice centres on drawing, painting, and creative experimentation. A graduate of Delta State University, Abraka, Ruth approaches art as a personal language through which she expresses emotions, experiences, thoughts, and imagination. Her works emerge from both academic exploration and deeply personal sources, transforming everyday observations and inner experiences into expressive visual narratives. Interested in the limitless possibilities of creativity, she also experiments with unconventional materials and processes, including transforming her used painting palettes into artworks. Through her practice, Ruth seeks to create meaningful works that communicate emotion, tell stories, and inspire viewers. Guided by perseverance, faith, and a commitment to continual growth, she is developing a distinctive artistic voice while exploring the possibilities of painting as a means of personal expression and positive connection with others.
