Sompaseuth Chounlamany was born in 1991 in Vientiane, Laos. His passion for drawing and painting started at the age of five. His works have been exhibited at various locations in his home state of Virginia, Rhode Island, and Laos. In addition, Sompaseuth has received several awards from the Service Authority of Prince William County and recognitions from the State Art Exhibit of Rhode Island. Although he has taken art classes, Sompaseuth still considers himself a self-taught artist. His style is a blend of Realism and Impressionism. Sompaseuth is currently based in Northern Virginia. Recently, he has been traveling to his motherland, Laos; its beautiful culture and rich history have always been the source of inspiration for him.
