Valentina Porcelli

Artist Profile

Valentina Porcelli
Italian figurative artist
Valentina Porcelli is an Italian figurative artist whose work explores the delicate balance between realism and metaphysical symbolism. A graduate with honors in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia, she began her artistic journey in childhood with a strong inclination toward portraiture. Influenced by traditional European painting and photography, Porcelli refined her mastery of oil techniques, while her experience in theater deepened her understanding of the body’s expressive power. In 2016, she crystallized her vision into a distinctive style that pairs monochromatic backgrounds with emotionally charged figures, earning her the first painting prize at the Salerno Youth Biennial and recognition in Frattura Scomposta Contemporary Art Magazine. Over time, her compositions evolved from immersive blue backgrounds to symbolic circular forms and, later, the incorporation of gold leaf, birds, and plants. Centered on female figures who often meet the viewer’s gaze, her paintings invite intimate dialogue while symbolizing a poetic reunion between humanity and nature. Porcelli currently lives and works in Parma, Italy.
