Vargas Ríos was born in Costa Rica and spent most of her life living in the province of Guanacaste. Vargas grew up as only child in a small town and started drawing copying her cousin's works. In no time she began developing her own style. This gave her the confidence to pursue my love of painting the everyday scenes in Costa Rica.
